Expand description

Information about one scalar component of a Rust type.

Variants§

§

Initialized

Fields

§value: Primitive

The primitive type used to represent this value.

§valid_range: WrappingRange

The range that represents valid values. The range must be valid for the primitive size.

§

Union

Fields

§value: Primitive

Unions never have niches, so there is no valid_range. Even for unions, we need to use the correct registers for the kind of values inside the union, so we keep the Primitive type around. It is also used to compute the size of the scalar.

Layout§

Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference's “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
